The Product
Why do I need this? I already have a scan tool.
Your scan tool finds the code. It doesn’t tell you why the code is there or what to actually do about it. That’s where KISS Diagnostics comes in. These guides give you the most likely causes ranked by real-world frequency, a step-by-step flowchart to walk through the diagnosis, actual test values to compare against, pro tips from 20 plus years in the trade, and the gotchas that trip up even experienced techs. Think of your scan tool as the starting line — this is the race plan.
How does it work?
Simple. Pick the system you’re working on, buy the pack, and download it instantly as one zip. Inside, every sheet comes as an HTML file you can open on your phone, tablet or laptop, and as a printer-friendly PDF. Each sheet covers causes, flowchart, test values, pro tips, safety warnings and related codes — work through it top to bottom and you’ll have a clear diagnostic path in minutes instead of hours.
Isn’t this just like AllData, Identifix, Mitchell, or OEM manuals?
Not even close — and that’s the whole point. Those are massive databases of everything. KISS Diagnostics is one focused sheet of exactly what matters for one specific code, written the way a real diagnostic tech thinks about it — not the way a software team documents it.
OEM manuals tell you what tests to run. They don’t tell you what the most common cause is, what usually gets misdiagnosed, or what the experienced tech in the next bay already knows from seeing it 50 times. That’s what these guides add. They’re not a replacement for OEM data — they’re the missing layer on top of it.

What makes and models do these cover?
OBD-II codes are a universal standard, so the diagnostic approach applies across all makes and models (every sheet is written for the universal SAE code, not a manufacturer-specific one) — domestic, import, and euro. If a vehicle is OBD-II (1996 and newer in North America), these guides are relevant. Specific sensor values and test specs can vary by vehicle, so always cross-reference final readings with your OEM service data before making a repair decision.
Are the guides updated when information changes?
Yes. The library is reviewed and improved over time, and the goal is for every sheet to reflect current real-world diagnostic practice — not just what was accurate when it was first written. If you spot something that needs updating, let us know — techs in the field see things that don’t show up in documentation.
Using the Sheets
Can I print these?
That’s exactly what they’re designed for. Print them, laminate them, stick them in a binder, pin them to the bay wall — whatever works best for how you work. The layout is optimized for a standard printed page. Every sheet also comes as a printer-friendly PDF — colour header, greyscale body — laid out like a service-manual page and readable even on a shop printer.
What platforms and devices does this work on?
Every single one. Windows, Mac, iPhone, Android, tablet — if it has a browser or a PDF viewer, it works. Every pack is a single zip containing both an HTML file (open in any browser, no software needed) and a PDF (open in any PDF viewer) for every sheet. No app to download. No account to log into. No software to install. Just open and use.
Do I need to download any software or app?
No. Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for. The HTML file opens in any web browser — Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox — on any device. The PDF opens in any PDF viewer. That’s it.
Sharing & Licensing
Can I share the sheet? Print multiple copies for my shop?
One purchase covers personal use and single-location shop use. That means you can print as many copies as you need for your own shop, share it with your team in-house, and laminate it for the bay wall — all good. What’s not covered is redistributing the digital file to other shops, reselling it, or uploading it publicly.
Does everyone in the shop need their own copy or is one purchase enough?
One purchase is enough for the whole shop. Buy it once, print as many copies as you need for your team, pin it on the wall, put it in everyone’s binder. That’s the whole idea — one clean reference that the whole shop can use without everyone needing their own login or download.
Purchasing & Support
Why are sheets sold in packs instead of one at a time?
Because codes rarely come alone. If you work on vehicles regularly you’ll be back for the next code in the same system — so each system is one pack: $19.99 for 10 sheets or fewer, $29.99 for 11–20 sheets, $39.99 for 21 or more. Want everything? The Master Library has all 270 sheets across all 19 systems for $119.99 — about the price of three large packs. Every purchase includes both the HTML and printer-friendly PDF versions. All prices are in USD.
What currency are prices in, and how do I pay?
All prices are in US dollars (USD) for customers in Canada, the US and elsewhere. Checkout runs through Payhip and accepts major credit and debit cards and PayPal.
Is it safe to buy here? How is my payment protected?
Yes. Every page on kissdiagnostics.com is served over a secure HTTPS connection with SSL/TLS encryption, the same industry-standard encryption banks and major online stores use, so what you send and receive is encrypted in transit. Payments are handled by Payhip, which processes cards through Stripe and also supports PayPal, on their own encrypted checkout. Your card details go straight to the payment processor — we never see or store them.
What information do you need from me to purchase?
Just what checkout requires — your email address for the download link and payment info. That’s it. No account required. No vehicle info needed. No personal details beyond what checkout requires. We don’t collect anything we don’t need.
How do I get my download after purchase?
Instant. As soon as your payment clears you’ll receive an email with your download link. No waiting, no shipping, no delays. If you don’t see it within a few minutes check your spam folder — and if it’s still not there, contact us and we’ll sort it immediately.
What is your refund policy?
Because these are instant digital downloads, all sales are final and we don’t offer refunds. That’s why there’s a free sample sheet — look at a real one before you buy. If there’s a genuine error with the file itself — wrong content, corrupted download, missing pages — contact us and we’ll fix it or replace it. We stand behind the product.
There’s a code I need that isn’t in the library yet. What do I do?
Submit a request through the Contact page. Code requests go straight to the top of the production queue. The library is growing constantly and your request genuinely influences what gets built next.
